What we're looking for
Each role has its own specific skillset, but on the whole we look for clear, effective communicators who can work across boundaries and quickly build connections with a wide range of people. More information about the role requirements for our different roles are provided in the job packs.
Management Essentials Programme (MEP)
The Management Essentials Programme is a comprehensive online learning programme designed to equip managers with essential leadership and management skills.
With 12 modules spanning three key themes, the programme focuses on managing yourself, managing your team, and managing the organisation. Suitable for both new and experienced managers up to and including Band 7, the Management Essentials Programme is an interactive and engaging way to develop your skills and competencies.
Leadership Development Programme (LDP)
As a leader, you have a vital role in helping us to achieve our corporate ambitions, outlined in our latest corporate strategy. This programme is designed to empower you with the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours you need to successfully deliver change and innovation across NHS24.
The LDP offers a blend of face to face and online learning, some self-directed learning, 360 ° feedback, Clarity 4D psychology profiling, 121 coaching and a celebrating success event, and takes about 6 months to complete. NHS24 is committed to ensuring all our leaders are developing their leadership skills so all leaders will be assigned to one of these programmes, if Band 7 or above and up to executive level.
The programme has two courses, and each has three themes:
- Leading with Courage: Being innovative, taking bold actions and making brave decisions that align with our corporate strategy.
- Leading for Impact: Developing a growth mindset, shaping the vision and strategic plan, and driving positive change while demonstrating the behaviours necessary for success.
